from the PBC blog:

"I mean, how many more times can i tell you how wasted I got last night before i start sounding like a brain dead frat bro? Well, Let's say it one more time - kids, daddy time traveled last night. That's how sloppy yours truly got. I traveled through time. Thanks again, Albany!"

"Out of the three shows so far, Albany has been my favorite. Not only was the PBC crowd reaction the best yet, like I mentioned before I was pretty torn up."

I think the whole party time traveled that night. nice job everyone there saturday, you helped make it one of my best life parties. so much fun.

now im just hoping that they come back and play with living with lions. that would be amazing.

Mystery Mailer

So someone mailed me a cutout picture of Bono's head from a Rolling Stone cover. There was no address and I am pretty curious to find out who it was. The photo it was taken from is above.

P.S. My number one suspision is Tiny so if it is: Tiny, don't think you pulled a fast one on me because I know that you were somehow involved.

The Biggest of Weekends

...we've been waiting a while for this. let's hope all the running has paid off and we'll be on our toes. If anyone wants a free ride down to brooklyn for the marine electric show, let me know. The show is only 5 doughlars and it comes with a cup for the keg. we'll be there early so i'm sure we will get our fill of keg beers. It might make a good weekend great. Other than that, we still have to figure out our ride situation for the pbc show. it's at shelter, so we can't walk there. we can take a cab if we absolutely had to, but we should try to avoid that. start brainstorming. also, let's hold down the door at our place on saturday. if noone comes in that we don't want in then hopefully we will not have to kick anyone out. I'm going to go out there and say that we should not get SUPER wasted until the party gets going a bit and we feel comfortable with the crowd...just in case we have to deal with a situation. There is going to be a shitload of kids at the show, so it's quite possible a lot of people we don't know get word of the party and try to come through. 2 kegs? definitely.
oh, and speaking of crime reports:
i'm glad to see we are all off the map on that one.

Stop and Hear the Music

This is a hidden video of a world-renown violinist, Joshua Bell, playing a crazy difficult set for a subway station audience in Washington, D.C.. In a social experiment organized by the Washington Post Joshua, among others, wondered just how much of an appreciation do ordinary people have for the arts on an everyday basis. The results may or may not surprise you:

Bell played a total of of six classical pieces over the course of 43 minutes, during which time 1,097 people passed by:

-27 people donated a total of $32
-only seven bothered to stand and watch for more than a full minute

Now I know none of us at 505 are classical music aficionados but I hope we'd at least be able to notice a world class musician shredding his dick off in a subway station. Maybe we'd even watch for a bit. Either way, seeing this reminded me to stay frosty when it comes to appreciating art and creativity no matter where I find it. Don't have your head up your ass or you may miss something pretty dope.

Read the Pulitzer Prize winning Washington Post article here if you want to know more about the whole deal

St. Patrick's Day Dinner

It's that time of year again where my favorite holiday rolls around and it's about time that we had a nice old fashioned St. Patrick's Day dinner. The menu is as follows:

Myself and Mr. Dobbins will be preparing a shepherds pie

Andrew and Hanalle will be making potato leek soup

Ms. McGugart will be making Irish soda bread

If anyone else has any other ideas of anything to bring, their contributions are more than welcome. If you want to bring something other than corned beef and cabbage let us know because we have "The Irish Potato Cookbook" courtesy of Christine "Tiny" Dobbins.

Hope you guys are interested because it should be a good time.

Thomas Patrick Michael Kenny
